Prof. Shirley Meng
Prof. Shirley Meng is recognized for her groundbreaking work on battery materials from fundamental to applied aspects. She achieved remarkable results in the development of cathodes, anodes and electrolytes not only for conventional liquid electrolyte batteries but also for all-solid-state batteries, particularly focusing on crystallographic aspects (such as ordering/disorder, phase transitions) and mechanical properties (such as strain, deformation). Her research combines exceptional breadth and depth, for instance, by applying operando X-ray characterization, advanced TEM observation, and DFT computational analysis. Her papers are widely cited within the SSI & battery communities, demonstrating her strong impacts to these fields.
