Dr. Gang Wan
Dr. Gang Wan is a Research Scientist at Stanford University. His research focuses on energy transformation and interfacial ionics in nature and technology. His research investigates how disorder, in the form of defects and heterogeneities, evolves at functional interfaces, and how these dynamic phenomena impact charge transfer, ion transport, and stability in key technologies such as batteries. He also received the 2025 William E. and Diane Spicer Young Investigator Award for his interdisciplinary research spanning electrochemistry, catalysis, materials physics, and interfacial X-ray characterization.
